Romeo X Juliet

It was then that Juliet was in her grave, fast asleep. She had drank the potion that Friar Lawrence had given her. At the same time Romeo was looking at the sky wondering wistfully what had happened to her lovely wife. Then a crow appeared. A crow for them, was a sign of death. Romeo had thought that it was her fine Juliet whom death had chosen.  Romeo rushed to Verona and went straight to Juliet’s room. Then he saw the Capulet family. Romeo told everything that had happened to them from how they met to their wedding. He told the family that Friar Lawrence had blessed them. Enraged with what happened Lord Capulet dragged Romeo to the Friar. Friar told the family that he had blessed their wedding because he had seen the loyalty and faith in each other’s eyes that they would go out of their way just to be married, so they did. Then the Friar told them that before the marriage of Paris and Juliet she went to him for advice. Then, he told that Juliet would rather die than to marry Paris because he has been wed to another man. So the Friar gave Juliet the potion that would let her sleep for the time of the wedding. After Capulet had heard the whole story, his thoughts were scrambled. He thought that the Montague house was a vile and cruel family but after what their son had told them his thoughts and ideas about the family changed. He ordered Romeo to call Lord and Lady Montague and meet with Lord and Lady Capulet at Juliet’s grave. Then everyone had gathered, Romeo knelt down on the grave and dug Juliet up. Then, he gave Juliet a kiss in front of the two families. After the kiss, Juliet woke up just in time. The Capulet house rejoiced seeing their one and only daughter wake up from a death-like sleep. Still confused with what was happening Lord Montague asked Lord Capulet what was happening. Then, Lord Capulet told what he had heard from Romeo and the Friar. With what had Lord Montague had heard his thoughts also changed. The two houses decided to hold a lavishing wedding ceremony to retake their vows and say it in front of the two families. After the ceremony the house where the two families were found was torn down to make a single house where the two families had become one and Romeo and Juliet had been the Lord and Lady of Verona.

Little Things

While I was walking alone in the park i saw a crowd of people shocked at who they saw....It was our national hero Jose Rizal.....After the crowd settled Rizal sat down and I wanted to talk to him so I sat beside him.....

Me: Uhm....Excuse me sir may I talk to you?
Rizal: It's fine....I have time.
Me: So.... you are our national hero, how does it feel?
Rizal: I was surprised that I was the national hero...I thought my friend Andres would be the national hero because he was the first president of the Philippines after all.
Me: Well you are the national hero....Congrats...
Rizal: Thank you very much.
Me: But.....
Me: If you were not our national hero, where would you be?
Rizal: Uhm... I think I would be somewhere where I could be able to think by myself and create more books to be published.
Me: Oh....so you would be a writer?
Rizal: Yes, yes
Me: If you would be writing a book, what would you want to be it about?
Rizal: I would like to make a book about the generation of yours...
Me: My generation?! *surprised*
Rizal: Yes your generation....The generation where alternative rock bands start to form and where having a computer is a must for every child.
Me: *guilty* oh yes....I too have fallen victim to this new generation....
Me: Anyway thank you very much... I still have somewhere to be.... I have to go.
Rizal: Okay, Goodbye.
Me: I want to read that book yours Rizal...Bye
Rizal: Sure sure, Bye

As You Like It by William Shakespeare

Setting:
The story happened on Sixteenth century. France, primarily the fictional Forest of Ardenne.

Orlando -  The youngest son of Sir Rowland de Bois and younger brother of Oliver.
Duke Senior -  The father of Rosalind and the rightful ruler of the dukedom in which the play is set.
Jaques -  A faithful lord who accompanies Duke Senior into exile in the Forest of Ardenne.
Celia -  The daughter of Duke Frederick and Rosalind’s dearest friend.
Duke Frederick -  The brother of Duke Senior and usurper of his throne.
Touchstone -  A clown in Duke Frederick’s court who accompanies Rosalind and Celia in their flight to Ardenne.
Oliver -  The oldest son of Sir Rowland de Bois and sole inheritor of the de Bois estate.
Silvius -  A young, suffering shepherd, who is desperately in love with the disdainful Phoebe.
Phoebe -  A young shepherdess, who disdains the affections of Silvius.
Lord Amiens -  A faithful lord who accompanies Duke Senior into exile in the Forest of Ardenne. Lord Amiens is rather jolly and loves to sing.
Charles -  A professional wrestler in Duke Frederick’s court.
Adam -  The elderly former servant of Sir Rowland de Bois.
Sir Rowland de Bois -  The father of Oliver and Orlando, friend of Duke Senior, and enemy of Duke Frederick.
Corin -  A shepherd. Corin attempts to counsel his friend Silvius in the ways of love, but Silvius refuses to listen.
Audrey -  A simpleminded goatherd who agrees to marry Touchstone.
William -  A young country boy who is in love with Audrey.
Climax:
Rosalind promises to marry Orlando and gets Phoebe to agree to marry Silvius, should things go awry with her beloved Ganymede, who is actually Rosalind in disguise.
Rising action:
In order to teach Orlando how to be a proper husband to her, Rosalind disguises herself as a young man named Ganymede and instructs him in the ways of love.
Falling action:
Rosalind, appearing as herself, marries Orlando, and Phoebe marries Silvius.
Denouement:
The concluding scene, The light tone, continued to the end, and I rejoiced in the happy ending which is altogether "as I like it."
Plot:
Sir Rowland de Bois has recently died, and, according to the custom of primogeniture, the vast majority of his estate has passed into the possession of his eldest son, Oliver. Although Sir Rowland has instructed Oliver to take good care of his brother, Orlando, Oliver refuses to do so. Out of pure spite, he denies Orlando the education, training, and property befitting a gentleman. Charles, a wrestler from the court of Duke Frederick, arrives to warn Oliver of a rumor that Orlando will challenge Charles to a fight on the following day. Fearing censure if he should beat a nobleman, Charles begs Oliver to intervene, but Oliver convinces the wrestler that Orlando is a dishonorable sportsman who will take whatever dastardly means necessary to win. Charles vows to pummel Orlando, which delights Oliver.
Duke Senior has been usurped of his throne by his brother, Duke Frederick, and has fled to the Forest of Ardenne, where he lives like Robin Hood with a band of loyal followers. Duke Frederick allows Senior’s daughter, Rosalind, to remain at court because of her inseparable friendship with his own daughter, Celia. The day arrives when Orlando is scheduled to fight Charles, and the women witness Orlando’s defeat of the court wrestler. Orlando and Rosalind instantly fall in love with one another, though Rosalind keeps this fact a secret from everyone but Celia. Orlando returns home from the wrestling match, only to have his faithful servant Adam warn him about Oliver’s plot against Orlando’s life. Orlando decides to leave for the safety of Ardenne. Without warning, Duke Frederick has a change of heart regarding Rosalind and banishes her from court. She, too, decides to flee to the Forest of Ardenne and leaves with Celia, who cannot bear to be without Rosalind, and Touchstone, the court jester. To ensure the safety of their journey, Rosalind assumes the dress of a young man and takes the name Ganymede, while Celia dresses as a common shepherdess and calls herself Aliena.
Duke Frederick is furious at his daughter’s disappearance. When he learns that the flight of his daughter and niece coincides with the disappearance of Orlando, the duke orders Oliver to lead the manhunt, threatening to confiscate Oliver’s lands and property should he fail. Frederick also decides it is time to destroy his brother once and for all and begins to raise an army.
Duke Senior lives in the Forest of Ardenne with a band of lords who have gone into voluntary exile. He praises the simple life among the trees, happy to be absent from the machinations of court life. Orlando, exhausted by travel and desperate to find food for his starving companion, Adam, barges in on the duke’s camp and rudely demands that they not eat until he is given food. Duke Senior calms Orlando and, when he learns that the young man is the son of his dear former friend, accepts him into his company. Meanwhile, Rosalind and Celia, disguised as Ganymede and Aliena, arrive in the forest and meet a lovesick young shepherd named Silvius who pines away for the disdainful Phoebe. The two women purchase a modest cottage, and soon enough Rosalind runs into the equally lovesick Orlando. Taking her to be a young man, Orlando confides in Rosalind that his affections are overpowering him. Rosalind, as Ganymede, claims to be an expert in exorcising such emotions and promises to cure Orlando of lovesickness if he agrees to pretend that Ganymede is Rosalind and promises to come woo her every day. Orlando agrees, and the love lessons begin.
Meanwhile, Phoebe becomes increasingly cruel in her rejection of Silvius. When Rosalind intervenes, disguised as Ganymede, Phoebe falls hopelessly in love with Ganymede. One day, Orlando fails to show up for his tutorial with Ganymede. Rosalind, reacting to her infatuation with Orlando, is distraught until Oliver appears. Oliver describes how Orlando stumbled upon him in the forest and saved him from being devoured by a hungry lioness. Oliver and Celia, still disguised as the shepherdess Aliena, fall instantly in love and agree to marry. As time passes, Phoebe becomes increasingly insistent in her pursuit of Ganymede, and Orlando grows tired of pretending that a boy is his dear Rosalind. Rosalind decides to end the charade. She promises that Ganymede will wed Phoebe, if Ganymede will ever marry a woman, and she makes everyone pledge to meet the next day at the wedding. They all agree.

The day of the wedding arrives, and Rosalind gathers the various couples: Phoebe and Silvius; Celia and Oliver; Touchstone and Audrey, a goatherd he intends to marry; and Orlando. The group congregates before Duke Senior and his men. Rosalind, still disguised as Ganymede, reminds the lovers of their various vows, then secures a promise from Phoebe that if for some reason she refuses to marry Ganymede she will marry Silvius, and a promise from the duke that he would allow his daughter to marry Orlando if she were available. Rosalind leaves with the disguised Celia, and the two soon return as themselves, accompanied by Hymen, the god of marriage. Hymen officiates at the ceremony and marries Rosalind and Orlando, Celia and Oliver, Phoebe and Silvius, and Audrey and Touchstone. The festive wedding celebration is interrupted by even more festive news: while marching with his army to attack Duke Senior, Duke Frederick came upon a holy man who convinced him to put aside his worldly concerns and assume a monastic life. -Frederick changes his ways and returns the throne to Duke Senior. The guests continue dancing, happy in the knowledge that they will soon return to the royal court.

To all my teachers...

First of all what is a teacher? A person that goes to school that instead of studying for themselves, they are studying for the knowledge of their students. That is a teacher. Teachers are also what we call our “second parents” because they teach us not only by the book lessons but also life lessons that they have experienced and have passed unto us the ideas they have had in order for us to live a more happy, productive life.

For me the teachers that have touched my life the most were my teachers here at CavSci. It is because they showed me the type of person I should be. A realist. It is because not only they showed me the happy things in high school and they also showed me the unfair sides of life. But I never took them negatively, I faced the negative sides with positive ideals. This was one of the many lessons my teachers have taught me here in my stay in CavSci. Enjoy life but do not forget your responsibilities that goes with it.

These ideas were life changing for me. And I thank all my teachers here in CavSci that has helped me realize these ideas. I am forever grateful for everything you have instilled in me.

Technology Advocacy

Warriors-Imagine Dragons

The line that inspired me to choose that video was “WE ARE THE WARRIORS THAT BUILT THIS TOWN”. It is very true our society does not have anyone to depend on other than the generation of today. The generation which technology plays a huge role in our daily lives. Technology that can bring us fame and fortune. But as shown in the video every person experiences loses. Loses that should be considered as experiences. Experiences that should teach us to strive harder in reaching our goals. The video tells us that through the advances in our technology it has brought us fame but it can also lead to more disappointments. We should always look on the bright side and fight for our dreams so that one day we will rise to the top.

Bullying

Bullying? What is bullying? Is it when you are enjoying one’s pain and suffering? Or is it when you are happy whenever they are sad? Bullying is not just through physical abuse. But it is also considered when you are hurting someone’s feelings.
But now a new type of bullying arose. A kind that is so powerful that it overwhelms everyone who uses it. It is bullying through the use of social media better-known as cyber-bullying. Cyber-bullying is when you commit a crime against a person through the use of social media. For example a person posts a picture of herself on your wall instead of coming up with a constructive comment you decide to point out what is not pleasing to you. It may not hurt you because it is not you but it may hurt the person you are pertaining to. That is what you call cyber-bullying.
Not only on social-networking sites like on facebook, twitter, and other social-networking sites but also in online games. In online games it is normal for you to get angry or frustrated at a player who is unskilled or so I dare to call It NOOBS. But let us not exploit their weakness through as they call it TRASH TALKING. Trash talking is when you verbally abuse a player in an online game. It is considered as cyber-bullying because you two are not the only players in the game there are millions of players worldwide and they can see what you are doing.

And by bullying other people we not only decrease their self-esteem you create an image of yourself. It is like you are showing what you are, what type of person you may be, it is either the constructive and helpful ones or those who feed of depression. By bullying other people we are letting them know that we too are reflections of our own actions. And we should be careful of what we are saying.

Darkness

A world wherein the we are shrouded in darkness
a beautiful world where we are all alone
no one to save us
no one could help anybody.

They say light is more powerful than dark
but without darkness we cannot have light
even though light outshines darkness
darkness will always consume light at the end of the day.

We may have more productive outcomes while under light
it is when in the night that we can show pure true selves
the true wretched people we really are
which we just hide under a shroud of light we call our faces.

In the end at the very bottom of our soul
and very deep in our minds
we still have that twisted broken selves hidden
in fear that we might hurt our loved ones if we release it.

Hero

A hero is a person you look up to, an inspiration. And he or she could be anyone. Anyone can be a hero in their own small ways. Some heroes are just not recognized in our society today. The regular persons just doing their part in the society to maintain balance, cleanliness, or even health of each citizen. They are the small heroes that our society that does not full recognize. They only see the people who are of high ranks and that is what they call heroes.

I consider my parents as a modern day hero for me. Why? Because they gave me when i was still an ankle-biter they gave me my essential needs and even more. They are the reasons why am I here today. If not for them I would not be having a good education, would not have grown with a positive outlook on life. To sum it all up I would not be myself without them. They to me are mind-readers because they know when i am sad, happy or anything. Even though my mom can be a motor-mouth when she is angry and my dad and i are couch-potatoes when we are left alone at home I am forever indebted to them because of the honour that they have given me for i can use my whole life.

That is the reason that I have considered my parents as my modern day hero. I love them with my whole life because they are the reasons that I am who I am today. I owe my whole life to them.

Memories

Everyone wants to be a person that wants to be remembered as a person of superior intellect and a person who has a lot of money. Everyone wants to be remembered as a somebody. But I want to be remembered differently.
I want to be remembered as a person who is a friend to all, a person you can count on and most of all a person that is always happy. I want to spread my happiness to everyone because I do not want to see a person sad especially my friends. Because it also affects me. So I want to spread my happiness to everyone and also I want to help my friends In need of my assistance.

That is why I always smile in class because I do not want to add to their troubles of having to see me in a very bad mood.

What are friends?

Friends what are they supposed to be really? For me friends are the ones whom you share your deepest and darkest secrets, even the most intense of problems. But how can you consider a person a friend if he is a backstabbing liar. Is that what you call a friend, he is supposed to be a shoulder you can lean on, open arms that are ready to accept you for your strengths and weaknesses. He gives advice whenever you need it and gives his opinion when you are asking him. A friend scolds like a father, gives advice like a mother and loves like a brother.
Friends are the only persons who understand you, whom you share your opinions with and who is always there when you have a problem and goes out of their way just to share their opinion to you just to comfort you. They are the only ones who you share your deepest darkest secrets and does not let anyone know your secret whatever happens. They are the ones who will try to sacrifice themselves just to save your friendship or even you.
But what kind of friends do you think you have? The type of friends who will lay their own life for you or the dirty backstabbing humans whom you call friends. Do you still consider him a friend even though all the hardships that he has let you conquer it all alone? Even all the times that he has left you in the dust just to save himself for his own selfish ideas. Is that what you call a friend? Do you still believe that every person can be trusted?
Who will even try to call that person a true friend if he himself does not even respect and love his friends with the love that the friends gave him? Is that a true friend? And when the time comes when you realize that you have found a true friend would even try to at least tell your feelings toward the friend you have. That you have the type of feelings that you cannot sleep at night because you always think about her. The feelings of butterflies in your stomach whenever you think about her. But when it comes to talking with her personally you seem that you start to stutter and start to eat your words while you are talking to her. Would you even try to tell her how you feel if you can’t even talk to her normally without having any problems as if you have nothing to hide?
What if you told her that you love her from the first time that they have met and you feel like she is your world. Without her in your life you would start to crumble and fall and love would just be an insane word just for persons whom feel love towards their partner. But if she told you that she also feels the same way about you but she is still not ready to have a relationship. And when you know it, as time passes by and she will forget the words you uttered and also the promise that she made. But you still kept that promise and never forgot about that because it is like a milestone in your life and it is very important to you. But because she forgot the promise it is like she does not care because if it is also important to her she would never forget it and wait till the right day she is ready.

Friends come in different identities some are friends because they just want to have some. Some just are just your friends because of material things you have if you do not have what they want they will forget you as if you did a big deal out of not sharing any material things those are the worst of all. Some so called friends just want to be friends with you so that they can be one of your closest friends just to learn your deepest, darkest secrets so that he can tell his own friends about you and ruin your own reputation just to uphold their own. And the best type of friends comes when you least expect it some appear as mere strangers from the start and once you tell your secrets to her and she tells her darkest secrets and keeps it to herself then you can consider her your true friend because they are the ones who understand you know your flaws and strengths and accepts it and most of all keep the secrets that you shared.

Bitterness

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Thank you for inspiring my heart for you
But then you tore my heart in two.

The pain lingers in my chest
every time i remember the time we spent at moments best
your smile is so kind
but your eyes are so blind.

To what i want you to see
that i gave all of myself
just for you to notice me
but we still don't see eye to eye about ourselves.

What am i supposed to do
in order for you to notice what i have done for you
i have given my whole life to you
but you still treat me like dirt underneath you.

Three stages of High School...

First stage, grade seven, freshmen,
the youngest of all students.
The ones that are so full of life, hopes and dreams.
And you can see the glow in their eyes because of their excitement and happiness.

The second stage, grade eight, sophomores,
the life of which is slightly easier because of the lenient schedule,
willing and supportive teachers.
The calmness on their faces because they are no longer the youngest of all students.

The third stage, grade nine, juniors
the self-proclaimed big brothers and sisters "almost". We are almost there, where the fulfillment of dreams is within our reach.
The feeling of excitement.

Two stages done and the third one is on its' way
We just have to believe in ourselves,
believe in the knowledge that we posses.
And most important of all trust God and his plans for us.

First day of being a Junior...

Another year has passed in my life here at CavSci. Now I am one of the students who have survived another year in this place of great learnings I call school. Now that I am a junior, not only myself has grown a lot in the past two years. Even my learnings has grown not only book learnings but also life lessons that will be a reminder of everything that has and will happen in my stay here in CavSci.
Being a junior, we now have our own building intended just for us, it stands alone at the center of the school’s campus, separate from the freshmen and sophomores. Which for me is a start of being independent. A life where I am in charge of my own decisions guided by the school’s rules and regulations.
When first day of school comes, I have this so called first day of school jitters. I have butterflies in my stomach because of the overwhelming anxiety. Maybe because it was brought about by mixed emotions of fear because I might have strict teachers, excitement because I’ll be meeting my new classmates, and will be seeing my old friends. I also have the sense of curiosity on how much they have grown physically and mentally. At first, it was very hard for me to adjust to the fast paced lessons, multiple activities and the different diagnostic examinations given to us by the teachers. But as the week progressed I have suddenly experienced that my body and mind have become one with the idea that I am already in this class and year level so I have to make the most of whatever I got.
It was a tiring first week but I am thankful that I have passed a week without having any problems. For this year, I promise to do better in doing all of the activities that will be given to me, push myself to the limit and never give up. Put my game face on, it’s time to face my biggest opponent “myself”. Because I believe that my greatest competition in my life is not the people surrounding me but myself. In order for me to be a better student in school and be a better individual in the multitude of students here in CavSci.
